The proposed development now has an approximate installed capacity of 28.8MW.

The rationale for the change in development description can be found within the documents on the right-hand side of this page.

Planning Application

A planning application was submitted to the Highland Council in January 2020. Following consultation and careful consideration, Energiekontor decided to amend the proposed development as described above.

A Further Environmental Information submission will be prepared and submitted in December 2020, to update environmental assessments associated with the revised development. This will then be consulted upon publicly in December 2020 / January 2021, with a decision expected in late Spring 2021.

Public Engagement

Public exhibitions were held in June 2019 and January 2020. Given current Covid-19 restrictions at the time of writing (October 2020), we have opted not to hold a further public event in the area. Instead, the update flyer available from the download section was posted locally in early October 2020, with updated interim materials uploaded to this page to keep the community informed.

If you would like to make comment or ask a question on the revised scheme, please feel free to email the project manager, Craig Potter (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). Please note that this is NOT a comment to the planning authority and is not treated as such – as per the above there will be an opportunity to comment formally once the revised material is formally lodged with the Highland Council in December 2020.

Additionally, we have created a survey where you can offer informal views. These views may be noted in a revised Consutlation Report that may be submitted alongside the revised application.
