The
UK Strategy
We develop small
to medium sized onshore wind farm projects throughout
the UK. Once the projects have planning permission,
unlike many other wind energy companies in the UK,
we also finance, build and operate the wind farms.
This means that we are responsible for a wind farm
from cradle to grave. Our knowledge of the development
process gives us a unique perspective on project feasibility
and economic viability.

For a wind farm we
usually lease land from the landowner. The lease generally
runs for around 20 years - the design life of a modern
wind turbine. Landowners receive payments that are
based on the amount of electricity generated from
the turbines. Wind farm development can provide landowners
with a useful additional income and can easily operate
alongside the more conventional farming activities.
