Energiekontor UK Ltd was founded in 1999 and is a subsidiary of the German based Energiekontor group. UK projects are developed by our team at Thorpe Park in Leeds, Yorkshire.
Our strategy is to develop small to medium sized onshore wind projects throughout Great Britain.
As a complete service company we manage our projects from the initial site selection through planning, finance, construction to operation and management of the wind farm.
Our knowledge and international experience gives us a unique perspective on project feasibility and economic viability.

Energiekontor AG is the head company of the Energiekontor group which develops and manages wind farms in a number of European countries.
Energiekontor was founded in 1990 as a private and independent company to plan wind farms and quickly diversified into fund sales and management of its operating wind farms. The AG has been listed on the stock market in Frankfurt since 2002. The majority shareholders are still the founders of the company.
The first wind farms were generating electricity in 1994 and by 1997, Energiekontor had 12 operating wind farms capable of producing enough electricity for 50,000 people.
Since 1990, Energiekontor developed 77 wind farms in Germany, Portugal and the UK with a total capacity of 515 MW and an investment volume of around 750 million Euro. |
